The Olympic Games beach volleyball competition includes men's and women's events. The qualifications for the Olympic Games beach volleyball competition follow the orders of the Olympic Points Ranking established by FIVB before the Olympic Games. 96 players from 24 men's and 24 women's teams would take part in the Olympic Games beach volleyball competition. Specifically: at least one host country team, the first twenty three (23) teams following the order of the Olympic Qualification Ranking established by the FIVB. However, a maximum of 2 teams per country is allowed.
