Swiss duo Sarah Schmocker and Isabelle Forrer trounced Guo Qian and Shen Rongrong of China 2:0 to qualify for the semifinals of the 2007 FIVB Beach Volleyball Women's Challenger this morning. The scores of the two sets were 21-15 and 21-19.

“We played well in the first set but bad in the second. We followed through our strategy and we are a strong team good at attacking.” Schmocker noted after the game.

Forrer echoed that: “Our rivals played better and better, especially in the second set. They scored five points in a row after a timeout. But we focused on the match again and finally won. We’ve been making progress in the tournament.”
