The semifinals of the 2007 FIVB Beach Volleyball Women's Challenger began at the Chaoyang Park at 9:00 a.m. August 18. In the first match the Brazilian combination Angela Vieira/Danielle da Conceicao Cunha Vivan played against Kulna/Yupa Phokongploy of Thailan.

Angela Vieira/Danielle da Conceicao Cunha Vivan of Brazil beat Kulna/Yupa Phokongploy 2:0 (21-9, 22-20) to continue their marching toward the final. In the first set, the Brazilian pair displayed their first-class defense with one diving save after another, easily winning the first set with 21-9.

Trailing into the second set, the Thai pair didn't give up and managed to tie the game at 20 but it was the two powerful drops by the Brazilian pair made their effort fruitless.
