Vieira/ Vivian: adjust to win and glad to be in Beijing

On Aug. 18, in the first semifinals of 2007 FIVB Beach Volleyball Women's Challenger, Brazilian combination Angela Vieira/ Danielle da Conceicao Cunha Vivian beat Kulna/Yupa Phokongploy of Thailand 2:0 to continue their marching toward the final. After the match, Brazilian combination had an interview with reporters.

The Brazilian combination easily won the first set of today's game. However, in the second set, they faced strong resistance from Thai pairs. Commenting on the second set, Vieira and Vivian said, “We were not very perfect at the beginning, but fortunately we adjusted our fettle in time. The Thai pair was strong, and spectators also kept cheering them up. So we think it is encouraging to win the game under the press from the public.”

Talking about this game, Vieira and Vivan said, “Every entry team is very strong, such as USA and China.Everyone performs well and  keep on improving all the time.”

Both Vieira and Vivian feel glad to take part in this event in Beijing, they said, “We are very honored and pleased to come to Beijing and compete in this competition.”
