Angela Vieira/Danielle Vivian, the Brazil combination, defeated their Chinese rival Yue Yuan/Zhang Wenwen 2:1 and won the championship in the 2007 FIVB Beach Volleyball Women's Challenger that just ended on August 19 in the Chaoyang Park. After the competition, the Brazilian pair held an interview with the media.

Vieira/Vivan said, "Thank God, we have won the championship, and we would like to express our thanks to the organizing committee and volunteers. We have been well received here and spent wonderful days. The Chinese players are very powerful and they played very well today."

Talking about the entertainment aspect of the beach volleyball, Vieira/Vivian noted, "Beach volleyball is a double match and it requires cooperation. Beach volleyball is of more entertainment than competition, and this is mainly reflected by the interaction between the audience and players in the venue."

The Brazilian players said that they have got accustomed to the hot weather in Beijing. "We are also having the same hot summer in Brazil, but differently, it is drier here. To avoid the influence of the hot weather, the organizing committee has set up a lot of different game times. That's very good. So the hot weather here has not affected our performance in general," commented the Brazilian pair.

The venue of this event has won good comments from the players of each team, including the Brazilian combination. " The venue is an Olympic-level one and we feel very good. Setting up this venue is a contribution to the World Beach Volleyball," Vieira/Vivian noted.
